The Professional Psychology Clinic (PPC) is not only a community resource, but also an essential student training center. We have provided low cost, high-quality psychological services to the Denver and surrounding communities for over 40 years, including psychotherapy, psychological and cognitive assessment, and forensic services. 

Staffed by doctoral students under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals, we provide cutting-edge, LGBTQIA-affirming, culturally sensitive services that are carefully tailored to meet each client's individual needs.

  • How do I get started with services?

    The first step to beginning care at our clinic is to schedule a phone screen. This 20-to-30-minute conversation allows us to understand your goals for therapy and determine how we can best support you. Please call us at 303-871-3626, and one of our clinic staff will walk you through the next steps and answer any questions you may have about our services.

  • How much do PPC services cost?

    We are committed to providing affordable, high-quality care to a diverse community. Fees for our services are determined on a sliding scale based on household income and financial circumstances.

  • What type of payments do you accept?

    We accept cash, check, and debit/credit cards. For your convenience, you may also pay online through our secure online payment portal.

  • Do you accept insurance?

    We only accept Medicaid. If you have private insurance, we can offer you our sliding scale rate.

  • Who is providing/supervising my therapy?

    At our clinic, you will work with dedicated graduate-level therapists who are completing their advanced degrees. To ensure the highest standard of care, every student is closely supervised by licensed psychologists or psychotherapists. We thoughtfully match you with a therapist based on your specific needs and the availability of our students and supervisors.

  • Where do counseling sessions take place?
    For in-person services, we're located on the garden level of the Ammi Hyde Building, located at 2450 S. Vine St, Denver, CO.
    For those preferring remote care, we offer telehealth appointments via Zoom.
  • Where should I park? Do you validate parking for clients?

    We offer parking validation for any of these DU parking lots: 110S, 118S, 119S, 121S, 124S, and 125S. Parking map available here.

    Time-unlimited street parking: Available on the North side of Harvard Ave., South Vine St., and both sides of Gaylord St., York St., and Wesley Ave.
     
    Two-hour street parking: Available on the south side of Harvard Avenue.
  • What are the clinic's business hours?

    Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 8 PM.
    Fridays from 9 AM to 3 PM.
