In the Child Adolescent Behavioral Health and Development (CAB) Lab we collaborate with children, adolescents, families, and communities to identify meaningful factors that shape behavioral health and development. Our work centers on the intersection of mental and physical health, with a focus on youth with chronic medical conditions and neurodevelopmental differences.
Grounded in community-engaged and participatory methods, our research informs evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention practices that reflect the subjective experiences of the populations we serve. As part of the Graduate School of Professional Psychology’s commitment to training practitioner-scholars and advancing science in service of the public good, the CAB Lab provides PsyD students with opportunities to engage in clinically relevant research that bridges academic inquiry and real-world impact.
