Professional Biography
Noelle Lefforge, Ph.D. ABPP, is a Professor in the PsyD Program at University of Denver's Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP). She serves as the Associate Dean of Applied Research and Sponsored Programs and the Clinical Services Director. She is active in teaching, training, supervision, clinical service delivery, research, mentorship, advocacy, and interprofessional education and practice. She has extensive expertise in group psychotherapy, community mental health prevention and intervention, suicidality, and diversity issues in professional psychology. Dr. Lefforge is board certified in group psychology and group psychotherapy and has served in leadership roles related to the specialized practice of group psychotherapy. She serves on the American Psychological Association’s Board of Directors as the Council Leadership Team Chair. She has published on responding to microaggressions in The International Journal of Group Psychotherapy, the specialized practice of group psychotherapy in the American Journal of Psychotherapy, helped establish the education and training guidelines for group psychotherapy in Training and Education in Professional Psychology. Most recently she co-edited a book on supervision of group psychotherapy. She is an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Group Psychotherapy. She is the recipient of several prestigious awards including NPA Outstanding Advocacy Award and UNLV Honor’s College Alumna of the Year.
