WeRead is an interactive Storytime and psychoeducational group led by the Baby S.T.E.P.S. Lab in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology and University Libraries at the University of Denver.
WeRead Groups invite families and caregivers with children ages 0–5 to come together to play, read, and learn—with older siblings warmly welcome! Held one Saturday each month, these gatherings combine storytime, interactive play, and practical insights for parents and caregivers.
Each session features children’s book readings, psychoeducational topics (such as attachment, language development milestones, and more), and engaging activities designed to support growth and connection. Families will also receive free children’s books to take home and enjoy.
Throughout the year, we spotlight community partner programs, offer special-topic sessions tailored to unique audiences (including Spanish-speaking families, grandparents, and families navigating developmental differences), and host guest children’s book authors who share their stories with the group.
Registration includes a free parking pass, and upcoming events are listed below.
